Sunday 26 June 2016

Hi everyone,

Today was a great day(even though we didn't get to sleep much). We had some breakfast(bacon and scrambled eggs) and went to church. We went to a Presbyterian church where we sang 2 songs, listened to a short sermon then played some games. We had some morning tea, got to ring the bells at the church(the bells were donated by a mum who dedicated it to his son.It was taken from a church in Perth) and take some photos. After church we did the Reconciliation Park walk and also the Australian of the Year walk. We walked back and had burgers for lunch. We all ate so fast because it was so cold.

Later on we went to Questacon. It was like Scitech but very big. We were allowed to wander around with a partner. My personal favourite was the free-fall drop. It's when you hold onto a bar and drop onto a slide(it was scary at first). We all went so many times. We got to see a show on taste buds and how we react to different tastes. We did a few experiments like sucking on a lemon then having a throat lozenge then sucking on the lemon again. The special throat lozenge contained miracle berries which made anything sour taste a bit sweeter. We also got to dye our tongue blue to see our taste buds. We were allowed to wander around a bit more and then we went to the gift shop and were allowed to buy something. Later on we came back to the motel and some people had showers. We went to dinner(roast beef and vegetables).

Right now we are having devotions and singing a song. We will start practising for the talent show we are having on Tuesday night.

Miss you so much mum and dad but I am having so much fun here!
Esther

  5. Hello there Amelia....! We love hearing news about your trip, it sounds like you are all very busy but having a fantastic time. News from home is not nearly so exciting although I do have one less pile of washing to put away ! Charlie says each night at the dinner table that something is missing and Sal is taking good care of Henry - he is starting to enjoy those scratches so much that he might loose his reputation for being bad tempered if he is not careful!. We miss you lots, hope you are having fun and looking forward to giving you a BIG hug when you get back..... Xox Mum and Dad
